Research Grant for CanICE

Dr. Songnian Li was awarded $152,000 research grant for three years from 2011 to 2014 to study spatiotemporal database modeling and web-based sea ice information services for supporting “CanICE – A sea ice information database and web‐based portal with novel, interactive knowledge discovery tools”, which is a collaborative research effort led by Canadian Ice Service involving researchers from Ryerson University, University of Waterloo and Laval University. The project is funded by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada under the Beaufort Regional Environmental Assessment program.
